Exhibitions 2025 at the Marges-U Gallery
Since April of this year, the Galeria Marges-U in Cadaqués has inaugurated its summer program entitled Exhibitions/2025 . According to the directors of the Gallery, Gustau Carbó and Nobuko Kihira, this program brings together exhibitions by Benet Costa/Xavier Krauel Natura , Robert Vilallonga Còsmica , Alfredo Sànchez and G.Carbó Berthold Espais de serrals and Carme Miquel and Montse Vendrell and Nobuko Kihira with 3 women-Creation. The following exhibitions can also be included in the program : An Engraver and His Friends and Winter by Marges-U .
Gustau Carbó commented that the gallery wants to continue with its commitment to the dissemination of contemporary art and its role in consolidating the municipality of Cadaqués as an artistic reference center.

On the one hand, Carbó's work revolves around the theme of nature, geometric shapes, literature, specifically referring to the theme of volcanoes, mountains, mountain ranges, mudflats, etc. These works have been produced during this past spring and you can see small-format pieces (40 x 40 cm, 50 x 50 cm) as well as works of 60 x 60 cm, 110 x 170 cm, 100 x 190 cm, etc. Some of the most outstanding works are those titled Volcà damunt de serrals , Illot mesurat i encadrad , Volcà negre, mare 35, Litoral, arxipèlag negre, etc.
On the other hand, you can appreciate the sculptures of Alfredo Sánchez that establish a dialogue with Carbó's paintings and that the sculptor emphasizes that what he wants to communicate with his work "is the importance of the relationship that can be established with it and the fact of being open to the sensations and feelings that awaken in us, since it puts in contact vital experiences, concerns and various sensitivities ". The sculptures are of various sizes and very abstract and being made of bronze, which reflect the changes of the daylight. Sánchez also works with other materials such as wood and with different types of stone. According to Carbó, this exhibition aims to "generate a meeting space between tradition and modernity, maintain the creative spirit and establish a connection between my paintings and the shapes and volumes of Alfredo's sculptures" .
The exhibition can be visited until September 2nd during the gallery's regular opening hours (6pm to 9pm). h (by prior contact), and Sundays and holidays from 12 to 14 h) and offers a unique opportunity to enjoy art in a privileged environment that combines landscape, history and creativity.
