Dolors Puigdemont presents the permanent work Seed of time and air
The piece is being presented as part of the sixth edition of the Manresa Microscòpies Festival.
This past Tuesday morning, the 6th edition of the Art and Nature Festival was presented in the Anella Verda de Manresa , Microscòpies de Manresa , which coincided with the installation of Dolors Puigdemont's permanent work entitled Semença de temps i aire , which is located at one of the entry points of the route, next to the Fàbrica dels Panyos. The presentation was attended by the councilor for Culture and Language, Tània Infante Martínez, the festival's curator, Roser Oduber Muntañola, and the artist herself, Dolors Puigdemont. This sixth edition will be held this year between August 29 and 31 around the Cardener River.
On the other hand, the Land Art competition, framed within the Manresa Festival, which unites art and nature, aims to raise awareness of the natural and heritage values of the city's Green Ring. This event is organized by the Manresa City Council and the Forn del Calç Contemporary Art Center (CACiS) and also has the collaboration of Meandre, the Escola Agrària and the EMI Foundation.
9 ephemeral works
At the same time, a total of 9 ephemeral works of art will be installed in this same space, in addition to this year's permanent work by Puigdemont. Sources from the organization have reported that " taking this point as the starting point, the different ephemeral works will be distributed in an infinity-shaped circuit around the Cardener riverbed that will reach beyond the Pont Nou". This year's ephemeral works are creations of the "Cor de la Ribera", by Susana Malagón Lozano, "Iphiclides podalirius sonorus" by Vicent Matamoros Anglès and Berta Esteve Martínez, "ANCESTRES. Els temps largs" by Clara Payàs Puigarnau, "Demons under the bridge", by Periko Raspa, "Influence" by Matthieu Kowad, "Niveau d'art", by Xavier Sis, "Silence" by Javier Alaizola Alfaro, "Esferificación d'arbust", by Emma and Xènia Flores and Ainhoa Solé and "Presències" by Quim Moya i Matas and the Art of Living of the Ampans Foundation.
Parallel activities
During the course of the Festival, several artistic performances will also take place. For example, on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM, the performance “ Visatge in-situ ” will be staged, by Mar Serinyà Gou and Jordi Homs Artigues; and on Friday and Saturday at 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM there will be “ Ritu ”, a performance by Sauti Duo, formed by Magdalena Myrzick and David Almagro.
Finally, during the three days, starting at 6 p.m., there will be several performances of the performance “ Acció 05 Manresa ” by Ángeles Císcar. It should be remembered that in previous editions the Microscòpies Festival has been held in the Parc del Secà, in the Torre Lluvià, in the Torre de Santa Caterina, around the Séquia, between the Parque Tecnològic and the Parc de l'Agulla and the final stretch of the Rajadell stream in Can Poc Oli, where we find the permanent sculptures of Tom Carr, Àngels Freixanet, Marta Pruna, Marc Sellarès and Mario Molins.
