A new edition of the Loop Festival is approaching and the participating spaces have already outlined their programming. A festival that integrates exhibitions, screenings, professional meetings and a specialized market in which galleries and artists present their creations to collectors, curators and artistic institutions. At the same time, it unfolds across multiple venues in the city —museums, galleries, cultural centers and alternative spaces— transforming Barcelona into a true showcase for contemporary video art.

From September 9 to October 7, the Tàpies Museum will be able to see faith without works is dead by Albert Serra. The Tàpies is promoting a special cycle of screenings with the aim of presenting to the public the new film by Albert Serra that pays homage to the figure and artistic legacy of Antoni Tàpies. This proposal stems from the Museum's desire to continue to deepen the dissemination of Tàpies' work, but from a fresh, contemporary and groundbreaking perspective, which is committed to creating new stories and interpretations that dialogue with his artistic career from an innovative and unconventional point of view.

Serra accepts the challenge and creates a personal, free and non-transferable approach to the Tàpies universe. All of this results in an open and sensorial piece that focuses on poetic evocation rather than direct representation.

The film delves into the deepest and most spiritual corners of Tàpies' creation, exploring the limits of matter, the intensity of its symbols and the philosophical richness that inhabits it, all from a personal, free and provocative perspective. Moving away from traditional narrative forms, the film creates an immersive experience that establishes an intimate dialogue with the artist's thought and aesthetics, highlighting its validity, its complexity and the transformative capacity that his creative universe still keeps alive.

Albert Serra's interpretation of the universe of Antoni Tàpies and an approach to a new perspective based on the language of the director, screenwriter and producer born in Banyoles, internationally recognized for his free-style films with a very personal visual style, always merging with visual arts full of spirituality and poetry.
