Ceramics take center stage in Madrid with the second edition of the cerARTmic fair, a ceramics and manual creation that is experiencing a major explosion and will do so with more participation, from 18 to 37 art galleries and a new location, the Ortega-Marañón Foundation (Fortuny, 53) from June 5 to 8. The space is complemented by a new area where a selection of artists from Castile and La Mancha will be presented, curated by Tomás Alía, the Digital Synthesis Zone with work by Marina Núñez and the Kave Home Zone.

Along with all this ceramic tour, this second edition of cerARTmic also includes the exchange of ideas and presentation of new trends, as well as workshops with artists such as Álvaro Calvo Ortiz or Elisa Menchero Garrido or round tables, in addition to an Off route where art and commerce come together through the Salamanca neighborhood and District 41. However, the fair will have the epicenter with the participation of the most prominent art galleries in the national and international arena such as Galeria Isabel Hurley, Tönnheim, Artnueve, La Mínima, Memoria, Arniches 26, The Cuban Art Hub among others.

An expanding fair with a lot of transgressive art, multiple recognized names and others that are fully entering this world of ceramics, but it is clear that cerARTmic is growing and making a hole in the world of fairs in the capital of Spain. It is a meeting point and dialogue between artists, collectors and gallery owners, recovering this savoir faire of the past, valuing an art of manual artistic work.

The promoters of this art fair dedicated exclusively to ceramics are Sara Zaldivar, founder of “Huntress of Art”, cultural manager and art advisor, and Alejandra Arias, manager of artistic and cultural projects. With more than ten years of experience in the world of art. Ceramics, art, culture, design and dissemination are elements that will be found in this great festival of contemporary ceramics in Madrid with surprising pieces of craftsmanship where cerARTmic is not just a fair: it is a declaration of principles that positions ceramics as an artistic language in its own right.
