On May 17, Vallgrassa Experimental Arts Center , located in the Garraf Park, inaugurated a new series of exhibitions that offer a critical and creative look at the relationship between the natural environment and culture, through the works of Alicia Campo , Guillem Vidal , Juan de Andrés and Joan Pallarès .

In the Interdisciplinary Space, artist Alicia Campo presents Riu, an installation that addresses the deterioration of the banks of the Ter River caused by irresponsible activities. The work, full of symbolism, uses materials such as baked mud made from plastic waste recovered from the river, a large canvas dyed with earth and oil, and a soundscape recorded on the bank itself, inviting a deep reflection on our relationship with the landscape.

For his part, Guillem Vidal is exhibiting Structures at the Espai Fotogràfic Humberto Rivas, a photographic project inspired by the support structures of the Romanesque mural paintings of the MNAC. The series reveals the importance of the often invisible elements that sustain and preserve artistic heritage, offering a look that combines architecture and engineering to highlight these essential components.

Juan de Andrés presents a set of engravings and drawings that explore paper as a fundamental element of the creative process. With constructivist influences and a sober style, the works show a formal research that combines architecture, geometry and composition, offering an intimate and personal vision of the artist's plastic language.

Finally, in the Espai Carles Hac Mor, you can see a video creation by Joan Pallarès , originating from the collective exhibition De Taller a Taller held in Cardedeu in 2020. This audiovisual piece reflects on artistic transformation and the connection with everyday spaces, taking as a reference a mechanical workshop understood as a space of creation.

With these four exhibitions, which can be visited until June 29, Vallgrassa reaffirms its commitment to artistic innovation, interdisciplinary dialogue and reflective criticism of the issues surrounding our natural and cultural environment.
