The FAD Festival 2025 , held on May 15, culminated with the awarding of the FAD Medal , an honorary award that has highlighted exemplary careers and projects in the field of the arts since 1928. This year, the distinction went to the Vila Casas Foundation for its sustained dedication to the promotion and dissemination of contemporary art in Catalonia.
The Board of the Promotion of Arts and Design (FAD) wanted to recognize “its tireless work and firm commitment to culture, both in the preservation of artistic heritage and in the support of visual creators”. According to the FAD, the Foundation's network of museums, quality exhibitions and proximity to society make it “an essential institution for understanding and enjoying art today”.
Dr. Montse Viladomiu , vice president of the Foundation, and Bernat Puigdollers , director of Art, collected the medal from the president of A-FAD, Carol Fleischman , and Maria Lluïsa Samaranch , member of the FAD board.
