Anna Roser: chromatic depths

The oceans hide a world full of life, color and shapes that often go unnoticed by the human eye, which is why artist Anna Roser invites us to discover this underwater universe with her new exhibition: 'Profunditats Cromàtiques, un món subaquàtic', which can be visited at the La Mercè Cultural Center in Girona. This exhibition, focused on nudibranchs, small marine mollusks of great beauty, combines painting, drawing and ceramics to offer an immersive experience that transports you to the depths of the ocean. Nudibranchs, the protagonists of this collection, are creatures that stand out both for their morphology and for their chromatic palette. These animals, despite their small size, have a range of spectacular colors and patterns, used as a defense and adaptation mechanism. Anna Roser masterfully captures these details in her works, using acrylic and watercolor to recreate the effect of these marine beings in constant movement.

Each painting in the exhibition presents a vision of an underwater landscape rich in nuances and contrasts. The artist manages to create a feeling of immersion, as if the viewer were in the sea, observing the beauty of a fragile but full of life ecosystem. In addition, the work not only stands out for its visual richness, but also for the message of environmental awareness it transmits. Born in Cassà de la Selva, Anna Roser has an extensive career in the world of visual arts. Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, with a master's degree from the Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design in London, she has developed her work in multiple disciplines, from painting to sculpture and installation. She has exhibited in various spaces in Catalonia and other countries, always with a focus on nature and color as essential elements of her artistic expression.
