The DKV will inaugurate at the Center de fotografia con causa f/DKV will inaugurate on January 18, at 7:30 p.m., the Unique exhibition, by Cristina Núñez Baquedano, the winning project of the third edition of the f/DKV Prize for photography with a cause . The exhibition will remain open until April 7, 2024.

Unique is a social review through the photography of an emotional community of women whose stage is rugby. Over the course of three years, the project reflects the coexistence between this group of women from different socio-demographic and ideological backgrounds. Rugby survives in Navarre thanks to the first women's team in Pamplona, which has existed for 26 years. Its continuity has been possible thanks to the commitment and the sustained socio-affective bonds between all the women who have been part of it over the years.

The collective has developed a democratic system of self-management, in which each acquires a role that can be extrapolated to the closest everyday life. Women between the ages of 16 and 41 play in the same team. Unique is an observatory that brings us closer to the reality of today's women: the human factor, the roles, the pre-established clichés, the invisible borders that are based on our model of society, gender, community, memory and identity

Cristina Núñez Baquedano studied photography at the Pamplona School of Art. Independent photographer, she dedicates her professional life to photojournalism. He has worked in the Heritage Conservation Study on Photographic Support CAAP. From 2012 to 2017 she was the editor of the contrallum magazine of the Photographic and Cinematographic Association of Navarra. He has also collaborated with non-profit associations such as HYPOHEALS and NOSOLOFILMS, whose objective is training and social empowerment through the image in scenarios of social exclusion. His personal projects have an anthropological point of view from which he documents close stories, with culture and the human factor as an expression of the behaviors of contemporary society.
