bonart castell d'aro - 01/07/23

From July 1 to October 1, 2023, the new temporary exhibition of Benedormiens Castle by the artists Pep Admetlla and Jordi Amagat, entitled H-103, will be presented.

The title of this exhibition is part of the triad of exhibitions that these two artists have held over the years. According to Pep and Jordi "starting in 1995 with H-101 and continuing in 2010 with H-102, we are now closing (or not!) at Castell de Benedormiens a cycle that has had no will to continue, but having said that, and metaphorically, from the terror chamber of the Ministry of Love and seeing how these totalitarian and loose governments of the "new order" M (read this consonant as the heading of whatever word you think best suits it); we refuse to be docile and treacherous prisoners and continue in spite of everything with the insubordinate act of creating without pattern, law or flag."

The artists also add that with this exhibition "we want to show the state of the new H-103 that has been given to us for this decade. Each one from their point of view with their own experiences and reflections and some shared through the our artistic activity. Said and done, living from a professional practice considered by many as a non-productive and useless activity and continuing with relative health an "ars longa vita brevis..." allows us to finish the sentence "...occasio praeceps, experimentum periculosum, iudicium difficile" and laugh subtly as we resist from the vantage point of our own head, house of one, house of many, house of none. With joy and no more, here you will find a part of that what we are and what we do".

The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on weekends and holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
