bonart amer - 09/01/23

Arnau Tordera's concert "El Joglar" this past January 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Teatre el Casal d'Amer opened the new edition of the Sona Amer Music Festival organized by Idea Associació Cultural and the Amer City Council, with the collaboration of Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya, Diputació de Girona and the Generalitat de Catalunya. In this concert, Arnau Tordera pays tribute to the figure of Jacint Verdaguer since in 2022 he commemorated the 120th anniversary of his death and the singer set out to revive this format today. With the sole accompaniment of voice and classical guitar, Tordera interpreted the work "Verdaguer, ombres i maduixes" in its entirety that OBESES published in 2017. An absolute turn of the score with a complete new arrangement that search for the essence of the encounter between music and poetry.

A total of 8 concerts have been scheduled and will be spread over the months of January until March 2023. According to sources from the organization, Sona Amer 2023 returns this year with an eclectic and ambitious program, with the performances of Arnau Tordera, Ensemble Mioritique, Cia. Illuminati, Koko-Jean & The Tonics, Gessamí Boada, Cor Jove de l'Orfeó Català, Alba Careta Group and Kroke.

As for the music festival's lineup, it is very diverse in terms of styles but with the common denominator of first-rate musical quality. One of the main objectives of Sona Amer is to be a notable bet that brings regular shows to the big theaters in a small town like Amer.

All the concerts will start at 18:00 at the El Casal d'Amer theater except for the concert on March 5 with Cor Jove de l'Orfeó Català which will take place at the Monastery of Santa Maria. On the other hand, the price of advance tickets is 10 euros and 12 euros at the box office. The organization has also planned a subscription system of 70 euros for the 8 concerts. Tickets will be sold at the Amer Town Hall offices, at the Lluís Sidera Ethnological Museum and online at
