17th Edition of the Art Madrid 2022 fair

17th Edition of the Art Madrid 2022 fair
bonart madrid - 22/02/22

A total of 40 national and international galleries and more than 160 artists will take part in the 17th edition of the Madrid Art 2022 Fair in the Glass Gallery of the Cibeles Palace from 23 to 27 February this year.

Art Madrid is a consolidated fair, through its 16 editions, which every year attracts collectors and new audiences interested in learning about contemporary creation in an accessible environment so that they can enjoy each of the proposals.

As for the theme of the fair's sponsors, One Shot Hotels is once again the official sponsor of Art Madrid and has prepared two very attractive initiatives with which it will renew its faithful commitment to contemporary art.

One is the program curated by Natalia Alonso, who proposes a tour of various works exhibited at Art Madrid'22 in order to introduce and bring the public closer to understanding the ecosystem of the art market.

The other is the collecting program run by an expert advisor in the industry. The service aims both to enhance the commercial work of the galleries and to offer advice on the acquisition of works of art for new buyers.

Finally, alongside the Projector video art platform, the fair is co-organizing a parallel program focused on video creation, action art and performance, curated by Mario Gutiérrez. In this edition, Projector will focus on investigating and rethinking the concept of "loop" or "loop" through the pioneers of video art, both from the point of view of creation, distribution and collecting. During the fair you can enjoy an installation by Gary Hill, who is considered the founder of New Media Art, and two live proposals from Hill himself; alongside works by Llorenç Barber, a pioneer of sound art.
