Biomimetic Routes

Biomimetic Routes

In the current context of ecological transition, environmental education and territorial innovation, the biomimetic routes project was born from the desire to take a step further in the way of interpreting the territory, placing nature not only as a space to protect or visit, but as an active source of bioinspiring knowledge, a creative process and an innovative result for the planet. In order to face the future challenges of humans.

These routes have been conceived as laboratory spaces, where nature is translated into a basis for applicable learning through narratives that connect biological processes with innovation, design and society. Far from being conventional itineraries, these experiences have allowed us to validate a unique methodology that combines scientific rigor, creativity and user experience, demonstrating the ability to generate impact both in the general public and in educational communities.

These routes also function as true living educational laboratories, especially aimed at children from municipal and supramunicipal schools. Through the direct relationship with the local biomimetic route, students not only acquire knowledge about the natural environment, but also develop key skills such as critical thinking, creativity and the ability to imagine and build sustainable futures. In this sense, the routes become spaces of connection between territory, education and the future, with a high transformative potential.

Several biomimetic routes have currently been created in Catalonia.
