The Aínsa Contemporary Art Center opens a new exhibition season this Thursday, June 11th, at 1:00 PM with the inauguration of "The Uninhabited Face " by artist Bernardí Roig. The exhibition, produced by the town's Contemporary Art Fund in collaboration with the Miguel Marcos Gallery of Barcelona, marks a renewed commitment by the town council to high-quality cultural programming.

The opening will be attended by the artist himself, along with prominent figures from the field of contemporary thought and criticism, such as the philosopher and international curator Fernando Castro Flórez; the journalist, cultural manager and director of bonart, Ricard Planas Camps; the curator and institutional advisor Joan Abelló; and the gallerist and collector Miguel Marcos, a regular collaborator of the center.

The exhibition brings together a selection of recent works, including sculptures, paintings, drawings, and two audiovisual pieces. As a whole, the project proposes an immersive experience in which fluorescent light and the density of black create a visual tension that envelops the viewer.

Roig's creative universe unfolds here as a territory of intense metaphors, where the image becomes a space of friction between identity, disappearance, and memory. The exhibition prompts reflection on the contemporary individual's lack of communication and their confrontation with the idea of extinction.

Among the outstanding pieces are Homo Lux (2025), Black Paintings (2025) and the Black-Father White series (2018–2025), which synthesize the artist's plastic language in his most recent stage.

From the City Council, the Councillor for Culture, Agustín Muñoz, emphasizes the value of the project and the exhibition space, which he considers "unique and of extraordinary value", as well as the importance of inaugurating the summer season with a proposal of this magnitude in a small municipality.
