ROOM 30: a meeting with contemporary creation to celebrate MACBA
Albert Pla presents a new program on Canal 33 that opens the doors to the creative processes of thirty years of contemporary art in Barcelona. It will be a space for meeting and reflection where generations, disciplines and diverse perspectives intersect, highlighting the richness and complexity of current contemporary art within the framework of MACBA.
On April 14th, SALA 30 , a new cultural program presented by Albert Pla, will premiere on Canal 33 in co-production with El Terrat (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO), and will also be available on 3Cat the same day. The program is part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of MACBA and offers a fresh, intimate and vibrant look at the world of contemporary artistic creation.
Each week, the program brings together four artists in a farmhouse, in an environment that encourages conversation, exchange and reflection. In these meetings, around a table, the guests share their creative processes, sources of inspiration, references and concerns that run through their work. The dynamic is complemented by visits to their workshops, spaces where ideas take shape and materialize into artistic work.
In addition, each episode incorporates the special presence of Catalan artists of great international projection, who broaden the dialogue and provide a broader perspective on contemporary creation. Among these names are figures such as Antoni Muntadas, Frederic Amat, Dora García, Joan Fontcuberta, Manolo Laguillo, Antoni Abad and Pilar Aymerich.
The program features a wide range of participants from the current artistic scene, including Laia Abril, Marria Pratts, Fito Conesa, Josep Maynou, Lua Coderch, Gabriel Ventura, Regina Giménez, Javi Peñafiel, Núria Güell, Mireia Sallares, Sidnead Spelman, Enric Farrés, Laia Estruch, Lucia C. Pino, Rosa Tharrats, Marina Herlop, Mabel Palacín, Aldo Urbano, Erick Beltran, Hac Vinent, Alberto Peral, Anna Dot, Joana Cera, Jokkoo Collective, Aimar Pérez Galí, Claudia Pagès, Joan Morey, Mireia Saladrigues, Laura Llaneli and Pedro Torres, among many others.
