The Art Gallery El Claustre is not just a gallery, it transits art and culture, organizing events such as conferences, cultural visits, concerts, workshops with artists, literary gatherings, among others. Among these events that it organizes, the Art Gallery El Claustre, marked the date March 13 at 7 pm in Girona. Calling a celebration of contemporary figurative painting with one of its exponents: Ramon Moscardó. On this March afternoon the artist was present to exhibit his work, in an organized cocktail.
Ramon Moscardó, born in Barcelona in 1953, between Putxet and Tramvia Blau. He started painting as a game, with his twin brother Josep, but his artistic career began at the schools of Fine Arts and Arts and Crafts in Barcelona. His career took an important step under the guidance of Josep Puigdengoles, closely linking him to the Sala Parés, where he has collaborated for more than four decades.

His work has travelled throughout his career, from the United States and China to the main European capitals. Despite his global projection, the artist maintains his roots firmly in Catalonia: for over thirty years he has lived and created in Cadaqués. It is in this Empordà landscape where, deeply in love, he finds his greatest inspiration, in the lights, the landscapes and the people.
Starting from post-impressionism, he has been playing with cubism and expressionism to grow his style. His painting is close and friendly, focused on everyday scenes: bar terraces, corners of Barcelona or Cadaqués, and interiors with characters, cats and violins. His drawing is not at all rigid, in his still lifes and spaces, nostalgia is often present. Although he has lived in Cadaqués since the nineties, he never stops traveling to hunt for new ideas and turn them into sensations through his brushstrokes.
The Art Gallery El Claustre, collects, until April 4, the works of Ramon Moscardó. Offering the Girona public the opportunity to stroll through its landscapes, terraces and interiors. The exhibition allows you to discover a consolidated trajectory that continues to dialogue with light and especially with that of the Alt Empordà.
