The 18th edition of the Gaudí Awards organized by the Catalan Film Academy was held at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, where the latest works of Oliver Laxe and Judith Colell won the two categories of best film. 'Sirat' triumphed in the number of statuettes, with seven awards that highlighted its strength in the technical categories: art direction, photography, original music, production direction, sound and make-up and hairdressing.

The documentary 'Tardes de soledad', by Albert Serra, produced by Montser Triola, Albert Serra, Luis Ferrón, Pedro Palacios, Ricard Sales and Pierre-Olivier Bardet, won the Gaudí Award for best documentary, beating 'Constellation Portabella', by Claudio Zulian; 'La marseillesa dels borratxos', by Pablo Gil Rituerto; and 'Mares', by Ariadna Seuba. Serra's work, which had already triumphed at the San Sebastian Festival with the Concha d'Or, arrived at the Gaudí with six nominations, a record for a documentary.
'Frontera' closed the ceremony with four key awards, including Best Film and the Special Audience Award. It also won recognition in acting and technical categories, consolidating itself as one of the most applauded productions of the year.
In the main acting categories, the Gaudí 2026 also highlighted very celebrated names: the award for Best Leading Actress went to Ángela Cervantes, for 'La furia', while the award for Best Leading Actor went to Mario Casas, for 'Molt lluny'.
