The end of this year will be marked by the Conference on Art and Gallery Management 2025, organized by GAC (Galeries d'Art de Catalunya). This is a key event in the Catalan cultural calendar, which is now in its 13th edition and has established itself as an essential meeting point for professionals in the sector. These conferences offer a unique platform for dialogue and the exchange of ideas between gallery owners, artists, curators and other agents in the art world, encouraging reflection on current trends, the challenges of gallery management and opportunities for collaboration within the sector. During the event, participants will be able to share experiences, establish professional contacts and deepen their understanding of the contemporary art scene in Catalonia and beyond.

In this edition, the aim is to create a space for debate and reflection around the collecting of Catalan paintings, exploring both its historical evolution and future prospects. The motivations that drive collectors, their relationship with galleries and museums, and the current challenges of the art market will be discussed, as well as issues linked to the preservation and safeguarding of artistic heritage.

On December 16, the Espais Volart of the Vila Casas Foundation will host a very comprehensive program that will begin with the welcome of Ricard Planas, director of Bonart, and Benito Padilla, president of the GAC. During the morning, an exchange of knowledge and experiences will take place with the participation of prominent professionals from the world of art: Guillermo Cervera, head of the collections of the Carmen Thyssen Foundation; Josep Fèlix Bentz, director of the Palau Martorell; Carme Clusellas, director of the Girona Art Museum; Bernat Puigdollers, director of the Vila Casas Foundation; Jesús Navarro Guitart, director of MORERA, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Lleida; Artur Ramon Navarro, director of Artur Ramon Art; and Ricard Planas, director of the Bonart magazine. This meeting offers a unique opportunity to learn first-hand the perspectives of the main players in the gallery industry and Catalan artistic heritage.
