With a month of exhibitions, cultural actions and free activities, the festival transforms several emblematic spaces of the Gothic Quarter into a meeting point between art, society and environmental awareness. Among the prominent venues are the Espai del Borsí, Mater Casa Museu, the Chapel of Santa Àgata of the Barcelona History Museum, the Casa de l'Ardiaca and the Espai Drap-*Art.

This year, Drap-Art emphasizes the intersection between creativity and environmental activism, inviting artists and the public to reflect on the human and cultural values that can guide us towards a model of global sustainability. The festival also pays tribute to the pioneers of sustainable art, recovering key figures who advocated for the reuse of materials and the critique of consumer society.

The program includes four thematic exhibitions and a selection of artists participating in the festival's open call. The works, both collective and individual, address issues such as climate change, consumerism and the need for responsible consumption, while also claiming the second life of discarded objects as a form of artistic expression.

Complementary activities include the inaugural concert, a market of recycled artistic products, workshops, presentations, panels and performances that will last throughout the month. In the musical field, Drap-Art'25 will feature the spectacular Orquestra Escombraries from Mexico, the Austrian electronic artist Crystn Hunt Akron, a regular at Ars Electronica, and the DJ and vinyl recycler Fonki Cheff from Castellón.

The Exhibition of Artists Selected by Call, which opens on November 20 at 6 pm at the Espai Borsí and can be visited until December 21, presents the works of 12 international and local creators: Dogny Abreu (Cuba), Sònia Benítez (Catalonia), Vittorio Canale and Marisa Domínguez (Argentina), Amadeu Flix Miguel and Diego G (Catalonia), Suzanne Frings and Martina Unterharnscheidt (Germany), Marcos Vidal Font (Basque Country), Elena Martí and Joan Carles Parellada “Parellada Art” (Catalonia), and Rustha Lluna (Peru). This edition is presented in the provisional space of the Plataforma del Borsí, while the renovations of the future Borsí on Aviñó Street are completed.

Drap-Art'25 thus confirms its consolidation as a benchmark festival in sustainable art, which connects Barcelona with an international network of artists and audiences committed to creativity, social criticism and the preservation of the planet.
