CONTEMPORANIA celebrates its second edition at the Palau de Pedralbes in Barcelona with the aim of consolidating itself as an international reference space and meeting point for institutions, galleries, collectives, artists and collectors. With Bonart as the official medium, the fair can be visited until Saturday and will bring together more than 150 national and international professionals - including institutions, galleries, collectives and more than 30 artists from Europe, America and Asia -, in addition to including an OFF circuit and the IV Professional Craft Congress, promoted by the Government under the slogan Apprentice seeks master .

On October 2, Moisés Rodríguez Cantón, director of the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion of Catalonia (CCAM), kicked off the second edition of this international biennial that celebrates the excellence of high craftsmanship. The event, which breathes creativity and a blend of tradition and innovation, has the support of the Generalitat through the CCAM, reaffirming the commitment to craftsmanship as a living and contemporary heritage.

The new edition of the fair brings together more than 150 national and international artists, consolidating itself as an essential meeting point for contemporary high craftsmanship. Among the participating institutions are leading names such as the European Craft Alliance, the CRÉA Gallery — Contemporary Fine Craft, affiliated with the Conseil des métiers d'art du Québec (CMAQ); the CIDAP of Ecuador; Fundesarte; the FAAOC; the Galeria Cebra of Düsseldorf, as well as the collectives J is for Jewelry (Belgium) and Visible (Norway). Alongside these institutions, more than 30 individual artists from Europe, America and Asia contribute their unique perspective and technical mastery, creating an international mosaic of creativity and savoir-faire.

Among the participants, the winners of the CONTEMPORANIA awards of the first edition stand out: Alex Kinsley Vey (Canada), Henar Iglesias (Madrid), Huimin Zhang (China), Javier Ens (Valencia) and Wiebke Pandikow (Finland), who bring a continuity of quality and innovation to the program. One of the most relevant novelties of this edition is the space dedicated to the CCAM, where a first taste of the works selected for the third edition of Visions of Catalonia is presented. Crafting Art, the Biennial of Contemporary Catalan Crafts, which promises to be a vibrant showcase of emerging talent and the artisanal wealth of Catalonia.
