Last Thursday, September 25, the official presentation of the poster for the 18th Castelló d'Empúries Art Route 2025 took place, which this year has been produced by Núria Vilanova (it is a portrait of a young woman and is a mixed technique on wood), the Galician artist and president of the Galician Artists Association. The presentation was given by the mayor Anna Massot i Font and the curator and director of the Castelló d'Empúries Art Route, Anna M. Constanseu.

Massot expressed her satisfaction with this new edition of the Art Route, which combines tradition and innovation, and which according to her “grows the bond between Castelló d'Empúries and its artistic creation”.

The 18th Route has been organized by Anna M. Constanseu (painter) with the sponsorship of the Castelló d'Empúries City Council and the collaboration of different entities and institutions in the town, as well as the University of Barcelona and Faculty of Fine Arts with a group of ten artists, the Ruiz Amado School and the Brugulat Institute of Banyoles.

This year's edition, which will be held from 10 to 12 October 2025 in the city of Barcelona, will begin on Friday, 10 at 4 pm with the opening of exhibition spaces and the Art Market with the corresponding official presentation with the authorities. At 8 pm the official opening ceremony will take place at the Basilica of Santa Maria in Castelló d'Empúries and a fire show will be held outside the Basilica with "Els Senyors del Foc".

For the weekend, days 11 and 12, the opening hours of the exhibition spaces and Mercat d'Art are from 11 am to 9 pm (Saturday) and from 11 am to 7 pm (Sunday). While the Mercat d'Art is a space intended for the sale of works of art, the RutaKids is a drawing contest that will be held for the little ones in the house.

As a novelty for this edition, artists from the Xarranca Association of the Principality of Andorra have been invited to participate and show their works of art. During the course of the route, a series of parallel activities have been planned, such as guided tours (Price: 4 euros) on Saturday and Sunday of the main historical buildings of Castelló d'Empúries explaining the different works that make up this event.
