The commitment and color of Quim Serrano Bou, in an exhibition at his home

Quim Serrano Bou is exhibiting part of his career alongside new creations in an exhibition that will be open until August 24 at the María Luisa García Tornell gallery in Blanes. The exhibition, entitled Collage Art and inaugurated last weekend, is a visual celebration of creativity and optimism. According to the author himself, it is an exhibition designed to transmit positive energy, a true chromatic explosion that invites us to reconnect with the essence of life and enjoy everything that surrounds us: from the small everyday pleasures to the great moments that leave a mark.

Among the most outstanding pieces are colorful rugs designed by the artist himself and handcrafted in India, using recycled plastic, a gesture that also reveals his commitment to sustainability and the creative reuse of materials. This combination of art, color and environmental awareness turns the exhibition into a sensory and vital experience that leaves no one indifferent.

He is one of the most recognized artists in the artistic scene of Blanes with a significant explosion of color with creations made with collage and a style that is already characteristic of Serrano Bou. In the same room where the carpets are exhibited, you can also see some of the most recognized works created a few years ago but still absolutely valid in both visual strength and symbolic load. Despite the passage of time, these pieces retain their ability to impact the viewer and provoke reflection intact. There is also no shortage of works that demonstrate the most committed side of the artist, who throughout his career has never shied away from taking a position on the social and political injustices of his time. His art, therefore, not only invites contemplation, but also critical awareness.

The artist from Blanes works and creates with all kinds of techniques, whether with painting, sculptures, collages and pieces with social content, always combined with a personal iconography that he has been shaping with a career that has taken him to many corners of the planet, residing in the past in New York or stays in Asia and Latin America.
