Terramar the most musical gardens

Sitges' summer musical and recreational offer comes through the Terramar CaixaBank Festival with a series of concerts that combine the heat of July with the heat of August, offering a varied offer where the eclecticism that gives rise to a gourmet selection for all tastes.

The Terramar gardens of Sitges have been consolidated with the eight editions that have left unforgettable moments. The central lake of the park has become the emblem of sustainability that the organizers preach by example, frogs, birds, fauna and flora highlight the diversity and respect for the natural environment. The setting and location in a modern urbanization, the Terramar el Vinyet sector, understood as a garden city in Noucentista Catalonia, combines perfectly in a summer cocktail of music, glamour and proximity. Coexistence and good neighbors maintain a fair balance.

The festival is not only twelve spectacular concerts by leading figures, among whom Kool and The Gang, Ana Belén and The Beach Boys stand out, it is the paradisiacal setting, the late afternoon and the incipient night. It is also the possibility of a gourmet dinner under the stars in hand and the taste of a modern classic with a pedigree like Cal Blay, not much more needs to be said.

In addition, there is the opportunity to enjoy the essentials, a group of artists who act as luxury opening acts in a more intimate and close-up setting. The commitment to local talent and the designation of origin is one of the most interesting values accompanying the large grandstand, and the dance floor of the main singers and renowned artists. They themselves are the appeal to attend the call of the Terramar Caixabank festival, a luxury line-up with essential appetizers with DJs: I'm Your Fader djs, Emil Legaz, Valen Mongay, LUCYMUSTDJ, Sergi Nolla, DJ Lemon, Yuri, Nomad Frequencies (DJ LIVE), DJ Rosario, Anna Ferris, T-Bird and DJ Miku, dance artists and young local singers and musicians such as Trial, Guitarrejant la Festa, Siy Cris, Laura Escobedo, Mëy & Lau, Nomad Frequencies, Gaddafi Nuñez and Montserrat i Meritxell. Dance has its own space, which is very much appreciated, with performances by Modern Jazz Esplai Dansa, Jopil Ribes Dansa, the flamenco of Clara Fuentes “La Peine” and the contemporary of Nerea Úbeda Hortal.

The selection of international super shows gives Sitges an exceptionality that other cities and towns try to imitate. Sitges at one time saw the opportunity to get on the bandwagon of major festival events and did so with the enthusiasm of Dr. Diego Ruiz, offering an unparalleled environment, the Terramar gardens, a public space that recalls the philosophy of progressives and moderns who thought of a new way of living, near the sea and rooted in the land, in natural coexistence and with vitalist balance.

The Terramar CaixaBank line-up takes a risk by hiring new acts and firsts such as Camilo or the Eurovision night with Loreen, Nebulosa and Kuve. A luxury menu to choose what you like best or try new flavours without forgetting the pairings that never disappoint such as Sara Baras, the Duncan Dhu, who are celebrating their forty years as a rock band, Lax'n'Bustó, the Vendrellens on their return tour or the Pecos who will close this year's Sitges festival with Dos voces i una historia, their tour that will end on 28 December at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.

The various editions of the Terramar CaixaBank Festival are very tempting and have the seal of quality and the addition of a location full of history, the Terramar Gardens in Sitges created by the initiative of the architect Martino, the decorations by Artigas and the gardening design by Robert i Utrillo. A hundred and a half years later, the Terramar Gardens Park continues to be a magnet for attraction and a source of renewed local and international talent.
