The Tangent Festival or also known as the Eixample Arts Festival of Barcelona is one of the great moments of the summer within this district. A new edition where the festival is filled with multidisciplinary elements within public spaces linked to different civic centers. Music, dance, circus, performance and theater will be the disciplines to be noted within the Tangent Festival 2025.

From July 3 to 24, the ninth edition will take place with sixteen activities that will be distributed throughout the courtyards, squares and rooms of the Urgell Civic Center, Cotxeres Borell, Sagrada Família, Casa Golferichs, Ateneu Fort Pienc and La Casa Elizalde where the summer nights will be transformed into different artistic expressions.

Glòria Ribera kicks off with her performance Glòria in l'Eixample (July 3). It will be followed by the slow, heartfelt and thoughtful music of VerdCel (July 4). Folk, pop, electronica and rock will also make an appearance with the proposals of Ernest Crusats (July 9) and Xicu (July 16), Meli Perea (July 17), Pribiz (July 21) and The Crab Apples (July 23).

In parallel, performances will also be held in other parts of the Eixample district, such as on the now traditional stage in front of the Sant Antoni market, where the trapeze show, Biaix , and an indie music concert by the group The Crab Apples will be performed.

In addition, on Wednesdays 9 and 16 July, La Casa Elizalde will host two intimate concerts in the interior courtyard of the block, one of them by the renowned Catalan singer-songwriter Xicu. It will be at La Casa Elizalde where the festival will close with a circus duet, to think later about the tenth edition of Tangent in 2026.
