Jordi Fulla Artistic Residency Award in Piramidón
Artistic residency with grants, spaces and a platform to give visibility to the work.
Piramidón, Contemporary Art Center , announces the second edition of the Jordi Fulla Artistic Residency Award , a recognition that honors the creative spirit and legacy of the Igualada artist Jordi Fulla (1967-2019), one of the first residents of the center's workshops. This call offers visual artists the opportunity to reside for two months in a private studio at Piramidón, located in Barcelona.
The selected artist will enjoy a workspace with natural light and privileged views of the city, which includes a workshop and a living space with kitchen, accessible 24 hours a day. In addition, they will have a grant of up to €500 for the purchase of materials and will have free access to the library, meeting room and terrace of the center. This residency promotes dialogue and exchange through monthly meetings with prominent figures in the cultural world, as well as the dissemination of the artist's work and activities through Piramidón's communication channels.
A fundamental part of the award is the possibility of showing the work developed during the residency in an exhibition in the center's gallery, with an opening and complementary activities. This experience seeks to strengthen the ties between the artist and the local and international artistic community, while encouraging creation and experimentation. The call is open to visual artists of all nationalities and backgrounds who have held, during the last three years, a solo exhibition in galleries or institutions. The deadline for submitting candidacies ends on August 15, 2025.
The selection process will be carried out by a jury formed by members of the Piramidón team, the artist Jo Milne and Alícia Vogel , winner of the first edition of the Jordi Fulla Award. With this initiative, Piramidón reaffirms its commitment to supporting creators and the dynamization of contemporary art, offering a space for creation and a platform to promote the careers of both emerging and established artists.
