Imagining Nothing: A Dialogue Between Poetry and Image
Presentation of the book by Agustí Colomines and Eduard Bigas at Llibreria Ona, a collaboration that unites words and drawings.
Next Friday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. , the Llibreria Ona in Barcelona will host the presentation of Imaginar-se res, a book that brings together thirty poems by Agustí Colomines with illustrations by Eduard Bigas. The publication is the result of a collaboration between the literary and visual spheres, and has been organized by bonart and the Atrium Artis Foundation, with the participation of the Miguel Marcos Gallery.
The work combines Colomines' poetry with Bigas' drawings, establishing a dialogue between text and image. Imaginar-se res represents a joint approach of two creators who come from different disciplines, but who come together in this editorial project.
Agustí Colomines (Barcelona, 1957) has been a full professor of contemporary history at the University of Barcelona since 1991. He directs the UB Josep Termes Chair in History, Identities and Digital Humanities and is a member of several research groups. In addition to his academic activity, he has published books on history, essays and poetry. Eduard Bigas (Palafrugell, 1969) is an artist who currently resides in Berlin. He began his career exhibiting in Catalonia and has shown his work in cities such as Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Miami and Venice. He has participated in exhibitions in international galleries and fairs, and his works are part of private collections in Europe, Asia and the United States.
The presentation of the book will be open to the public and will offer the opportunity to discover this joint project first-hand. The event will also include the reading of some of the poems that are part of the book, with the voices of Carme Canet , journalist for Catalunya Ràdio; David Escamilla , journalist, writer and editor, and Nora Barnach , editorial coordinator of the bonart magazine.
