Neus Dalmau and Corominas: the Verdaguer force
The Palau Foundation is hosting an exhibition that explores Verdaguer's strength as a creative engine, in a journey between the wound, the word and action.
From the art of the ics and the Joaquim Pibernat Fund, a very special and particular relationship between artist and poet, between art and poetry, is given way to the Fundació Palau de Caldes d'Estrac. Curated by Joan Puigdefàbrega, La força Verdaguer. Neus Dalmau i Coromines proposes a journey marked by milestones linked to wounds or crises but, as Joan Vinuesa explains, "Neus Dalmau i Coromines is a force of nature".
Based on this strength of Jacint Verdaguer, Neus Dalmau proposes a path to overcome the inclemencies that life positions, also of silence, of incomprehension, all in parallel with the different ways of creating that the artist has. The fluctuation of the spectator's gaze will be based on the exploration of painting, poetry, but also of music, even of Neus' action and performance.

If this multifaceted aspect of Neus Dalmau is combined with Verdaguer's strength, it will also become a completely different journey, closely linked to the influences of women artists who create a new path to the story developed in the past. A retrospective based on healing, the different chapters she has as a first person and the relationship with others. A constant mutation, of visual multiplicities, of a universality that makes Neus Dalmau and her universe different is fully displayed in the Caldes d'Estrac museum, with a painting full of textual interventions, of filling the visual element with words, without forgetting the musical touch that teleports the gaze.
The performance in La força Verdaguer. Neus Dalmau i Coromines, which will remain at the Palau Foundation until November 17, will have a capital weight of this interdisciplinary artist, with a fusion aesthetic that is rooted from the outset in the infinite possibility of when art does not follow a path. It is from this principle that experimentation, creation and action are called for, along with the diversity of Verdaguer, but also of Xirinacs or Miró, among others.

This whole set has the immediate need for healing, for the relationship that the artist maintains with his own creation, his own art, for the “Verdaguer force”. From the incomprehension of Cinto Verdaguer, Neus Dalmau has found his fight, the strength to continue and leave behind different inclemencies, gray chapters and dramas that are already part of the past. The abyss was close, but the light wins the game.
With Exorcisme: história d'una pintura and the short film L'Àngel de Lloret, Neus Dalmau created a game for reviewing his own work and creating a communicative thread with that of the poet. A place and a formula for creating a dialogue between artist and poet. A consciousness-raising, a frenzy and a vital gesture that transports us to diversity.
