The Rec district of Igualada is preparing to welcome a new edition of Rec.0, which will once again fill the old industrial spaces of the district with life. For a few days, this environment becomes a great showcase of fashion, gastronomy and culture. With more than a hundred clothing brands, gastronomic proposals for all tastes and free cultural activities, Rec.0 has long been much more than a place to shop.

From May 7 to 10, the activity in the neighborhood will multiply. This spring edition arrives with the motto Fashion and Party in the Rec neighborhood, emphasizing the fun and creative nature of the festival. In addition to fashion, art will play a prominent role, with large-scale interventions that will fill the streets with color and claim the architectural and historical value of the old tanneries. These actions are designed not only to be seen, but also to be experienced, with some installations that will invite public participation.

Since it was launched in 2009, Rec.0 has gradually gained a prominent place on the country's cultural agenda. Twice a year, in spring and autumn, Igualada becomes a meeting point for brands, designers and visitors, with a pop-up store format that transforms disused spaces into shops full of activity. This effort to recover spaces and give them new life has been key to putting the neighborhood on the map and showing its potential. This year, the route is being expanded with new spaces, such as an old tannery and a fur warehouse on the Sant Antoni crosswalk, which are added to a circuit that already exceeds one and a half kilometers.

As for brands, Rec.0 maintains its commitment to the local fabric. Around 80% of the participants are Catalan brands, such as Sita Murt , Thinking Mu , BUFF® , Mus&Bombon or Antonio Miró , among many others. In addition to established brands, there is also space for independent proposals and designers who opt for alternative formats. All of this means that Rec.0 has become one of the most important events for the sale of fashion stocks on a national scale.

One of the highlights is Rec Imperdible , located on the first floor of the Leather Museum. Here you can find around twenty brands focused on sustainability and responsible consumption, such as Top Manta , Nuoo , Solka or Batech . There is also an exchange market and a second-hand shop, under the name Rec2amà , which is being repeated after the good reception it received in the previous edition. In this ephemeral shop, you can find clothes donated by individuals who no longer use them. There will be clothes for everyone at very affordable prices, and some items will have a label with a brief story told by the owners themselves.

In parallel, the lobby of the Leather Museum will also host an exhibition of the works presented in the design competition promoted by the Waste Agency of Catalonia . The designs, made by students from various Catalan schools such as BAU , ESDI or La Gaspar , revolve around sustainability and recycling. A jury formed by representatives of the sector —including the designer Josep Abril— will choose the winning proposal, which will receive a financial prize and the opportunity to do a training stay with Abril himself.

With each new edition, Rec.0 reaffirms its ability to bring together fashion and heritage in Igualada, exploring new paths where creativity, responsible consumption and culture meet in an environment that has already become a reference for many.
