Once again, Canals Galeria d'Art joins the celebration of International Museum Day , reaffirming the fundamental role of galleries as essential spaces for the discovery and promotion of emerging artists, who over time become part of the collections of public and private museums. A gallery is, in short, the anteroom of the museum .
Following the motto proposed by ICOM this year, "The future of museums in communities in constant change" , the gallery organizes open days and special activities to bring art closer to the entire community. One of the most outstanding moments will be La Nit dels Museus , which will take place on Saturday, May 17 at Canals Galeria d'Art. For the occasion, a spring proposal has been prepared, intimate and ideal for the whole family :
From 8 to 10 p.m. , a guided tour by candlelight will be offered, led by Josep Canals , director of the gallery. This experience will allow you to discover the current exhibition dedicated to Joan Miró , as well as outstanding works from the gallery's collection , which includes authors whose work is in the main national and international museums, such as Tàpies, Grau-Garriga, Argimon, Ibáñez, Fita, Amèlia Riera, R. Vallès or Tharrats , among others.
With this initiative, Canals Galeria d'Art wants to continue being a bridge between art and the community , offering memorable cultural experiences that connect heritage with the present and art with people.
