On April 19, the fourth edition of the Quick Painting Contest of Llanars and its surroundings, Pintem el nostre poble, took place, an artistic event that brings together, year after year, people of all ages willing to capture the beauty of the landscape in a limited time.
With a free theme and various techniques -oil, watercolor, acrylic, drawing, collage, among others-, the competition invites you to represent corners of Llanars and its natural environment. Although the day, which began at eight in the morning and ended at 12:30 p.m., was marked by rain, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, talent and creativity.
The first prize went to Joan Josep Català Payan, with an oil on canvas depicting the Romanesque church of Sant Esteve de Llanars —located in the Plaça de l'Om— on a rainy day. The jury, formed by Domingo Pairó (former mayor of Camprodon), Evdokim Perevalski (artist and gallery owner), Eusebi Puigdemont (technician), Josep Maria Mejan (artist) and Alexandra Planas (cultural manager), highlighted the quality of the works and had a difficult task when choosing the winners. The verdict was made public on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

In the Senior category, second prize went to Lluís Puiggrós Puigdelloví, while Abel Florido i Gandullo received the award for best watercolor. The Popular Prize —chosen by vote among the works not awarded by the jury— went to Isabel Feliu i Fabra. The Special Bonart Prize was also awarded to Antonio Martínez, consisting of a free annual subscription to Bonart magazine during the year 2025.
In the children's category, the creativity of the youngest stood out strongly. The winners were the sisters Jana and Maria Nicolàs and Carla Arimany, who surprised with drawings full of color and imagination.
The mayor of Llanars, Amadeo Rosell i Martí, highlighted the success of the call and the council's desire to promote art and cultural participation among all generations. The competition, organized with the support of the Llanars City Council, includes a financial award of 750 euros for the first prize, 500 euros for the second and 350 euros for the prize in the watercolor section. The Popular Prize is valued at 200 euros, and the children's categories were given lots of drawing material courtesy of the Llibreria Anglada in Camprodon.
With this fourth edition, the Llanars Quick Painting Contest is consolidated as an essential event for all those who love art and the representation of the territory. The three winning works in the Senior category will be exhibited throughout 2025 at the Llanars Town Hall.
