More than 20,000 people and more than 200 accredited media outlets have once again confirmed Art Madrid as an essential event on the international circuit, in this twentieth edition. From March 5 to 9, the Galeria de Cristal in the Palau de Cibeles hosted 34 national and international galleries, reinforcing its commitment to diversity and artistic creation. With 50% of debut artists, the Gallery Program has highlighted the vitality and evolution of the sector over these two decades.
Art Madrid'25 has surpassed the sales figures of 2024, consolidating interest in contemporary art and reaffirming the dynamism of the market. In total, 675 works have been acquired, reflecting the diversity of proposals and the commitment of collectors to the participating artists. Of these acquisitions, 39 have been made through the Art Madrid'25 Collection Program , led by art advisor Ana Suárez Gisbert , who has facilitated access to new acquisitions and guided buyers throughout the fair.
In terms of prices, 10% of the works exceeded 20,000 euros, while 15% were between 10,000 and 20,000 euros. 30% ranged between 3,000 and 10,000 euros, and 45% of the acquisitions were for works of less than 3,000 euros. This shows that at Art Madrid there is art for all collectors, from the most experienced to those just starting out in this exciting world.
Art in motion inside and outside the fair
Beyond the fair, the Parallel Program , under the concept of Territori Ciutat, has expanded the artistic experience to different parts of Madrid. Before the inauguration, art conquered the urban space with interventions in the metro (Imagined Architectures), poetry actions in the street (Dialoga Ciutat) and visits to artists' studios (La Quedada), offering a unique opportunity to approach the creative process from its origin.
Once the fair was inaugurated, the program has continued to expand its horizons with innovative proposals such as Open Booth, in collaboration with the Nebrija University and Liquitex , to make the work of young creators visible in a professional environment. The Arrels Afora cycle, starring Josefina Bardi , Eléonore Ozanne , Valentina Alvarado Matos , Ra Asensi and Agustina Palazzo , also stood out, exploring the notions of roots and identity through their performances.

On the other hand, the moving image has played a prominent role with the video cycle Cartographies of Perception, curated by Proyector , which has analyzed the relationship between the urban environment and its inhabitants through works that have challenged the perception of space. In addition, the 20 Degrees program, developed at the Espai Tectònica , has been added, where ten invited artists have used augmented reality, performance and sound to explore the interaction between architecture and its inhabitants.
Among the most innovative proposals, Ciutat Subtil by Susi Vetter stands out, which has managed to transform Montalbán Street into a digital installation that rethinks the link between humans and their environment, inviting the public to reflect on the impact we have on the landscape.
Awards, collections and a residency in Italy
With its Patronage Program , Art Madrid'25 has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting contemporary creation through three key initiatives. On the one hand, the Acquisition Award , supported by three entities, has awarded the work of Armando de la Garza (Studiolo Collection Acquisition Award), represented by DDR Art Gallery ; Fernando Suárez Reguera (E2IN2 Collection Acquisition Award), represented by the Luisa Pita Gallery ; and Moisés Yagües (Devesa Law Acquisition Award), represented by the Aurora Vigil-Escala Gallery . This initiative ensures the dissemination and preservation of the works of the awarded artists within the national collecting circuit.

On the other hand, the Emerging Artist Award , awarded by One Shot Hotels within the framework of the One Shot Collectors program, has recognized the work of Ana Cardoso , represented by Galeria São Mamede . This cash award represents a fundamental boost for the development of artists in the consolidation phase, supporting them to continue exploring new paths in their production.
Finally, the Residency Award , organized in collaboration with DOM Art Residence and ExtrArtis , has been awarded to Luis Olaso , from Kur Art Gallery . Thanks to this recognition, the artist will enjoy an artistic residency in Sorrento, Italy, during the month of August 2025, an experience designed to foster experimentation and cultural exchange.
