Once again, the Ministry of Culture and the Museu Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía have expanded their collection with the acquisition of new works at ARCO 2025, the most important contemporary art fair in Spain. This initiative reaffirms institutional support for the artistic sector and consolidates the commitment to incorporating more women artists into the museum's collection. In this edition, 73.6% of the acquisitions correspond to female creators, as announced yesterday, March 7, by the Secretary of State for Culture, Jordi Martí, and the museum's director, Manuel Segade, after the meeting of the Permanent Commission of the Royal Patronage of the Reina Sofía, held at the same fair.
