ADN Galeria will host the fifth exhibition by artist Abdelkader Benchamma. Under the title of 'Des Astres', the show will bring together a series of newly produced drawings that break the traditional limits of paper, occupying the exhibition space and creating a new immersive dimension.

After being a finalist for the Prix Marcel Duchamp 2024 and exhibiting his project at the Centre Georges Pompidou for three months, Benchamma delves into his fascination with celestial phenomena and their interpretation throughout history. In the Middle Ages, these events fueled various fantasies. Today, the signs from the sky continue to change their meaning, linking astronomy, astrology, physical laws, magic and science. Inspired by a 16th-century book that collects various celestial phenomena, Benchamma presents the series 'Kometenbuch', composed of twenty medium and small-format drawings. This scale allows for exaggeration of details and invites the viewer to explore the infinite, where essential truths are often hidden.

'Des Astres', which will open on Saturday 15 February and can be visited until April, invites us to reflect on our relationship with the sky and the phenomena we project onto it, offering a contemporary look that connects with the concerns and fascinations of times past. The exhibition also features a room text written by Sébastien Planas and a series of site-specific installations, amplifying the visual and conceptual impact of the works.
