Josep Mias and David Tremlett

The Espai Isern Dalmau of the Lluís Coromina Foundation hosts the exhibition 'Josep Miàs in transit. Dialogue with David Tremlett', a proposal that puts Josep Miàs 's creations into conversation with the drawings of the sculptor David Tremlett , establishing a game of formal and conceptual connections between the two artists.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is a large metal sculpture that modifies the perception of space and generates a certain visual tension. This work is based on a smaller work of galvanized iron that is currently exhibited, along with other pieces, at the Miguel Marcos Gallery .

David Tremlett's minimalist and geometric drawings are integrated into the exhibition, bringing another dimension to the artistic dialogue. His rectangular designs are visually intertwined with the rhomboidal volumes of Mias' sculpture. Tremlett works with pastel, a material that he considers delicate, but capable of generating solid compositions, a concept that at the same time resonates with Mias' architecture. Thus, sculptor and architect are united by a similar conception of space.

Inside the Isern Dalmau Space, you can also see preliminary porcelain models and sketches that show the creative process behind this structure. Furthermore, in an adjacent room, two videos project images of the creations of both artists in parallel, highlighting the similarities and synergies between their proposals.
