The City Council of Calonge and Sant Antoni have organized a charity auction with the aim of raising funds for research into the disease Friedreich's Ataxia or familial ataxia, a hereditary disease that causes progressive damage to the nervous system resulting in symptoms that vary from gait disturbances and language problems to heart disease such as coordination problems and instability.

For its part, the Calonge city council has highlighted the importance of initiatives like this to raise awareness among citizens and support the fight against rare diseases. A large participation from the public and the artistic sector is expected, demonstrating once again the community's commitment to solidarity and the country's culture.
