'Dislocated Nostalgia' is a work by Adela Bacardit that combines art and technology to explore the emotional transition between childhood and adulthood. With the help of artificial intelligence tools, Bacardit creates a series of 21 images that reflect the fears of this stage. The works present moments of a past innocence that collide with the reality of the adult world, anomalies in the images caused by errors or logical gaps in the AI code, generating this sensation of dislocated nostalgia that gives the exhibition its name. The artist generates impossible images that make you think about the perception of what is real and what is constructed and fictitious.
Adela Bacardit is the alter ego of Cristina Cremades Carreño, a creator with a great critical eye, who has training in the conservation of cultural assets, cultural management and museology, and who now, with 'Dislocated Nostalgia', invites viewers to reflect on the processes of personal change and the incomplete truths of life.
With this exhibition, which has already opened and can be visited until February 8, the civic center offers a space for reflection on the power that technology can have in the world of art.
