The exhibition 'With water in the heart', organized by the Aiguacuit collective, can be visited at the Miramar Cultural Center in Sitges until September 22, 2024. This collective brings together plastic and visual artists from the area of Garraf, mainly from Vilanova i la Geltrú, Sitges and Sant Pere de Ribes, with the aim of promoting contemporary art and culture. Created in 2021, the group stands out for its commitment to artistic diversity, international cooperation and support for emerging projects, always with open and inclusive criteria.

The exhibition, which is part of the cultural program La Pregonera Sitges 2024, brings together a wide variety of disciplines and techniques, showing the richness and heterogeneity of its members. A total of 26 artists participate, presenting 100 works, offering a representative sample of their collective work. Despite the differences in style, the works share a multidisciplinary spirit and a common search to find one's own voice through innovation, criticism and creative gesture.

In most of the pictorial pieces, the intensive use of color, hot strokes and complex textures stand out. Other artists explore more conceptual terrain, such as symbology, mythology and visual poetry, creating spaces for reflection and introspection. In addition, the sculptures and 3D works delve deeper into the origin of forms, drawing inspiration from nature, the human body and architecture. Another interesting aspect of the show is the incorporation of artistic jewelry, which is presented as a contemporary form of ancestral magic.

This exhibition underlines the variety of techniques and the originality of each of the artists, while reflecting Aiguacuit's commitment to the creation of accessible, non-elitist art collecting that at the same time consolidates the Miramar Cultural Center as a space relevant to contemporary art in the region.
