The Palau Bofarull of the Diputació de Tarragona opens on February 29 at 7 p.m. the exhibition The lock, the map, the landscape and the paths, by Núria Arias.

Núria Arias (Barcelona, 1965), rooted in Terres de l'Ebre, where she lives and works, is a multidisciplinary artist committed to the environment and education and to an activity that is not only present in her teaching work but which is also evident in works such as Through the mirror, a project composed of 21 debates carried out in art schools and secondary schools in Latin America and Spain and which is part of the exhibition El d_Efecte Barroc.

His work has a double side: on the one hand, very intimate and personal works, such as the artist's book Desenterrad mi corazón de Wounded Knee or the ink drawings, and on the other, initiatives in which the its commitment to nature (Diners Blaus is an example). The discovery of the scientist Lynn Margulis thanks to the artist Mari Chordà influences her current work, as is the case of the series Leoo: low earth orbit objects. Microcosms and macrocosms. She defines herself as an artivist, an English word that combines art and activism.

The exhibition can be visited at Palau Bofarull until April 6, 2024.
