Until November 9, the Gavarres will once again be filled with art in the sixth edition of the Art & Gavarres Festival, which links nature and artistic expression and which this year will take place in Girona, Celrà, Cassà de la Selva, Llagostera and Palamós Continuing with the aim of making visitors aware of the conservation of this protected natural space, in this new edition of the Festival artists have been asked to reflect on the drought that affects us and on the difficulties that the human species has to make rational use of natural resources.

As a novelty, Art & Gavarres will open with Caminants, an inclusive dance piece produced by the SETBA Foundation, which will premiere at the presentation of the Festival and in which users of the mental health entity Fundació Drissa will dance, with the dancer Maria Ribera. For his part, the acting president of the Consorci de les Gavarres, Pau Presas, has stated that the Art & Gavarres Festival "is an artistic expression that vindicates art and nature, and that this year, more than ever, bet on raising awareness of the hottest environmental issues."

18 national and international artists

Art & Gavarres starts from the idea that art can be a tool that helps us reflect and change our view of the landscape. Art and nature are linked to publicize this protected natural space and claim it. During the course of a week, the participating artists create works in situ with natural materials. Anyone interested can visit this exhibition and discover these ephemeral artistic interventions, all the while delving into Les Gavarres.

The works can be visited until nature itself, over time, erases them. The artists participating in this edition are: Ció Abellí and Alfons Plujà, Curro Claret, Delphine Labedan, Elena Garcia, Etèries, SETBA Foundation, Guillermo Olmo, Jordi Batallé, students of the Master in parametric design in architecture (UPC), Mia Llauder, Olga Solà, Pilar Ors and Julio Borg, Quim Moya, Sebi Subirós, Tania Font, Team Fleur, Toya Legido and Xavier Bobés.
