2026 promises to be a particularly rich year for the Design Museum-DHub, which proposes an exhibition program that combines innovation, heritage and creativity. Among the most anticipated exhibitions is Seny i rauxa. Notícia de l'arquitectura catalana , which will arrive in the spring as part of the celebration of Barcelona 2026 World Capital of Architecture. Curated by Joan Roig, Carme Ribas and Victòria Garriga, the exhibition will cover the best of Catalan architecture from the founding of the School of Architecture in 1875 to the present day. With more than 400 pieces, the exhibition explores the common thread between seny i rauxa, linking architectural, artistic and design works to offer a fresh look that connects historical legacy, expressive movements and social dynamics. Figures such as Antoni Gaudí, Josep Maria Jujol, Ricardo Bofill, Enric Miralles-Benedetta Tagliabue, Carme Pinós or RCR will participate, as well as key groups such as GATCPAC and MBM.

Also in the spring, the DHub opens Iron Techniques. From artisanal work to industrial production , an exhibition that delves into the historical and contemporary processes for shaping iron. Through pieces from the Museum's collection, some never before seen, visitors will be able to discover the technical and artistic evolution of this fundamental material.

Autumn will be full of new things with three highly relevant temporary exhibitions. André Ricard. Disseny en ús pays tribute to the renowned designer, highlighting his timeless objects and his work as a theorist and disseminator of Catalan and Spanish design. In parallel, fashion will have a prominent space with the retrospective of Asunción Bastida, a pioneer within the Cooperativa d'Alta Costura and almost forgotten alongside names such as Manuel Pertegaz or Pedro Rodríguez. The exhibition recovers dresses, mannequins, photographs, sound and audiovisual archives that explain his career and the context of design at the time.

Finally, the DHub joins the celebration of the centenary of the birth of Aurèlia Múñoz, a key figure in understanding contemporary textile art, with a selection of pieces from the 1960s that form part of the Museum's collection.
