This past Friday, January 17, at 7:30 p.m., the 'Pastors d'arbres' exhibitions were inaugurated at the Casa de Cultura Les Bernardes of the Diputació de Girona. This set of exhibitions is part of the In Wild Lands cycle, and can be visited at the contemporary culture space of Salt until April 5, 2025.
This new cycle deals with the asphyxiation of humanity and criticizes the harsh living conditions that states impose on citizens, which allows generating a powerful analogy between the deforestation of forests and the image of a man who finds it increasingly difficult to breathe. The presentation was attended by Gemma Geis , second vice-president of the Girona Provincial Council; Robert Fàbregas , coordinator of the Casa de Cultura Les Bernardes; Sandra Gâtejeanu , consul general of Romania in Barcelona, and the artists Dolors Puigdemont , Katja Lang and Gisela Bombilà .
During the course of the inauguration, the group's exhibitions were visited: Sala Berta Casas, Sala Photo and Sala 29 m²: 'Wild Romania' (Dan Dinu and Matei Truta); Sala L'Església: 'Skins of the forest' (Dolors Puigdemont); Sala Sant Jordi: 'Infinite landscapes' (Katja Lang); Sala La Lateral: 'Trees for Sakamoto' (Ryuichi Sakamoto), and Sala La Talaia: 'Shepherds of trees' (Gisela Bombilà).
