Evru: Alberto Porta's creative universe arrives in Seville
Alberto Porta - Zush - Evru is the new exhibition at the Rafael Ortiz Gallery in Seville, opening on November 20 and running until January 30. Alberto Porta (Barcelona, 1946–2025), known artistically as Evru and previously as Zush, was one of the most unique creators in contemporary Spanish art.
His work transcends painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, music, and digital art, constructing his own universe, which he called Evrugo Mental State, an imaginary “state” with its own flag, anthem, passport, currency, and alphabet. This project was not merely a symbolic fantasy, but an ontological experiment that invited the exploration of creativity as a form of inner freedom. Porta's career was marked by constant reinvention.

The exhibition at the Rafael Ortiz Gallery brings together sculptures, paintings, and drawings from different stages of the artist's career, offering a complete and dynamic perspective of his creative universe and the development of his visual language over the years. The exhibition pays homage to Zush-Evru's legacy and his talent for navigating that liminal space between the analog and the digital, between logic and imagination.
