The Caribbean connects through art: Cartagena launches a new edition of its circuit

Cartagena becomes the epicenter of the art world with the 4th edition of the Art Circuit (CAC 2025), which will take place from July 17 to September 12, consolidating its position as one of the cultural and artistic events in northern Colombia. The city, located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, is transformed into a living gallery filled with artwork, with a dozen exhibitions taking place in eleven spaces and museums throughout the metropolis.

During these weeks of the Art Circuit in Cartagena, more than 40 artists will participate, selected from 115 candidates with an Opening Day that took place at the NH Gallery and the exhibition of artists such as Pedro Ruiz, Álvaro Barrios, Ruby Rumié or Camila Barreto and the Museum of Modern Art of Cartagena (MAMC) with the inauguration of Weaving Identity: The Women of Mampuján , Women in the Collection , a tribute to artists such as Ana Mercedes Hoyos and Maripaz Jaramillo, as well as Grau Bronzes , with sculptures by Enrique Grau.

Other featured spaces include the Caribbean Naval Museum, the Zenú Gold Museum, and the San Lázaro Arts District, as well as the exhibition "An Amphibian Exhibition," featuring works by artists such as José Covo, Rafael Dussán, Cecilia Herrera, and Dayro Carrasquilla. This new edition focuses on concepts such as identity, memory, nature, and human connection with the Caribbean environment.

Painting, sculpture, textile art, installations, photography, video art, and mixed media will bring to life an artistic journey marked by the Caribbean spirit. An experience that exalts cultural diversity, collective memory, multiple identities, and the creative force that emanates from the territory.

Furthermore, on July 18, the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce will host the first Inter-Institutional Meeting of Contemporary Art in the Caribbean, a private event aimed at strengthening ties between cultural institutions in Cartagena, Barranquilla, and Santa Marta. This initiative seeks to consolidate a collaborative network that will promote artistic and creative development in the region.
