Design Museum of Barcelona

The Design Museum of Barcelona is the institution dedicated to the preservation, exhibition and dissemination of the different areas of design in the county town. In the same premises, it encompasses the collections of product design, fashion and graphics, together with the historical collections of decorative arts, textile arts, clothing, ceramics and graphic arts.

With a wide selection made up of around 80,000 objects spanning from the 4th century BC to the contemporary era, the museum offers a comprehensive view of the evolution of design and the associated arts. In addition, it has a Documentation Center that includes a library and an archival space dedicated to information, research and consultation of a documentary archive consisting of 22,000 documents.

The Barcelona Design Museum is located in the emblematic Disseny Hub building in Barcelona, sharing space with other entities and institutions focused on the world of design. Within this privileged location, the museum is part of a complex dedicated to the encouragement and promotion of design, located in an area of the city that also houses other prominent architectural symbols such as the Agbar Tower and Els Encants.
