080 Barcelona Fashion celebrates its 35th edition, consolidating its commitment to the internationalization of Catalan fashion and the promotion of values such as sustainability, diversity and innovation. This year, the catwalk will feature 24 designers and brands, including established names such as Custo Barcelona , Dominnico , Eikō Ai , Eñaut , Escorpion , Lola Casademunt by Maite , Simorra , Txell Miras and The Label Edition . Added to these are nine debuting brands, such as 404 Studio , AAA Studio , Acromatyx , Alvar Merino , Anel Yaos , Compte Spain , Doblas , Ernesto Naranjo , Guillermo Justicia , Habey Club , Juan Vidal , Maison Moonsieur , MANÉMANÉ , María Escoté and Rubearth .
The event will maintain the Open Area, a space open to the public within the Sant Pau Modernist Site, where the fashion shows can be followed live on giant screens. In addition, this space will offer DJ sessions and various activities organized by the sponsoring brands. The graphic image of this edition, called Metamorfosi, symbolizes the constant evolution of 080 Barcelona Fashion, fusing art and fashion from an avant-garde perspective.
With the aim of boosting the international projection of Catalan brands, 080 Barcelona Fashion Connect has been organised, a digital showroom that will connect local brands with international buyers. This business space will be active from 30 April until the end of May. In parallel, presentations and round tables with experts from the sector will be held to discuss the challenges and opportunities of an industry increasingly committed to sustainability. In this sense, several brands will present collections created with recycled materials, responsible production techniques and designs that promote circular fashion this year.
The event also promotes inclusion and diversity with models of different ages, genders and backgrounds, breaking with traditional runway standards. In addition, one of the great novelties of this edition is the integration of technology into the world of fashion, with collaborations that explore the potential of artificial intelligence and augmented reality in the process of creation and communication of brands.
With these initiatives, 080 Barcelona Fashion not only commits to aesthetics and creativity, but also to a more ethical and sustainable future in the fashion industry, while promoting creative talent once again and reinforcing the strategic role of the textile sector in the economy of Catalonia.
