The Espai Guinovart d'Agramunt presents Catalèptic, by Núria Roselló , an artistic proposal that explores the relationship between rejection and absence. Through a set of photographs taken with the iron tip technique, Roselló takes us into a universe where discarded objects become vestiges of a displaced reality, generating a reflection on the fragility of matter and the passage of time.
The exhibition is built on an essential premise: what does that which we reject mean? And, beyond that, how does the absence of that which is no longer there manifest itself?
In this sense, Catalèptic, which can be visited until July, becomes a deeply philosophical project, in which the photographic image not only documents but also questions the nature of remembrance, oblivion and memory. Through a careful look, Roselló portrays aspects of reality that usually go unnoticed or are considered irrelevant within traditional aesthetic canons. The artist is interested in those elements that have been discarded, that have lost their original function. Catalèptic, however, goes further, not only capturing what has been abandoned, but also confronting us with what is no longer there, with what has disappeared.
Catalèptic a l'Espai Guinovart.
His images are situated in an uncertain territory, where reality dissolves into a play of shadows and presences. In this sense, the iron tip technique contributes to reinforcing the feeling of mystery and distance, creating images that seem to belong to another era, as if they were remnants of a forgotten past that emerge again. At the heart of this exhibition is a fundamental paradox: while we voluntarily reject things, we also cling to the memory of what we have lost. This contrast is one of the main axes of the exhibition and is manifested in the way Roselló constructs his images.
Beyond its conceptual dimension, it is also an exploration of matter and its transformation. The images capture objects in different states of decomposition, showing how time alters and redefines them. This exploration of change and impermanence is a constant in Roselló's work, which invites us to look at reality with a new perspective. Curated by Anselm Ros , Catalèptic is, therefore, a journey through different states of matter, from its presence to its disappearance, and proposes a profound reflection on the cycle of life and death.
